Welcome to the Phoenix
Astronomical Society
The Phoenix Astronomical Society, founded in 1948, is an organization of individuals with many related interests: telescopes, binoculars, astrophotography, computer planetaria, astronautics, sky lore, astrogeology, NASA, and celestial navigation are just a few examples. We are amateur and professional astronomers, teachers and learners, oldsters and youngsters, men and women ... all inquiring minds. The one thing we share is a desire to know more about the wonders of the night sky.
PAS Events
Our organization sponsors numerous astronomy related events including our monthly lecture series, telescope workshops, and star parties.
Details are available on the PAS Event Calendar and Registration Site. All PAS events are free, but require registration.
