"Once again held over the Memorial Day weekend, this year's [1976] Amateur Telescope Makers Conference at Big Bear Lake, California, sparkled with three nights of crystal clear observing at the 7300 foot high mountain camp.
"Over 200 amateur astronomers from all over the southwest attended the meeting sponsored by the Riverside Astronomical Society, bringing 112 telescopes of all sizes and kinds, mostly amateur built."
